9. Something cosplay-related that you will never do (eg. crossplay, cosplay from a certain series)

Typically, I don’t cosplay girls. There are very specific girls I will crossplay to be, like Sailor Uranus, Kyoko from Madoka Magica, and Rainbow Dash. They exist, but their numbers are few and far between. I also told myself I’d never do body paint but oops there are green characters and grey characters and even a purple one on my cosplay to do list! 

10. My cosplay idol.

I already listed a bunch, hmmm, who else do I really look up to?

Sherman is somebody who really inspires me, though I don’t have a link to anything of his, he’s really driven me to work hard and be a better person as well as a better cosplayer. Throughout all of the Metrocon drama too, he was probably one of the only people on staff I really kept my faith in. 

22. Your most comfortable cosplay and most uncomfortable cosplay.

Setsugetsuka Kaito is a pain to wear. His sleeves and gloves never stay up, I have terrible sandals, and the elastic pinches my arms. It also takes like half an hour to GO TO THE BATHROOM in the damn outfit. I just have to keep reminding myself that “the more uncomfortable you are, the better you look,” and I feel a bit better.

And my most comfortable was probably Jake English. Holy shit that cosplay is like a DREAM to wear. I didn’t even feel like I was cosplaying. People would ask me for my picture, and sometimes it took a second to register. Like. OH. ME. OH YEAH DUH I’M WEARING A COSPLAY. I TOTALLY FORGOT. I wear his shorts and button-down on a regular basis, so I forget that fact sometimes, I feel like I’m just wearing an everyday outfit! (Maybe that’s because I am Jake English, secretly. HE IS ME. SSHHHH. DON’T TELL ANYONE.)

29. Something you want to improve on for future cosplays.

Besides sewing and makeup? I want to get better at props! I want to make more props, and learn how to do more things with more kinds of materials. Usually my probs are complete BS- oh, I have this and this around the apartment, and if I go to goodwill I will find this and this— so making props is actually really seriously fun for me. xD I’m terrible at it, though!
